Your profile, levels and badges
This page is for members. In servers that use Kaveh's levels, you earn XP by chatting and being in voice channels. Here's how to see your progress and make your rank card your own.
See where you stand
- In Discord:
/level rankshows your rank card,/level profileyour profile and/level leaderboardthe top members./level rankslists the rank titles. - On the website: sign in at your profile page with Discord. It lists the servers you share with Kaveh, with your level, XP, rank and activity in each one. Kaveh only asks Discord who you are. It doesn't ask for your server list or email.
If a server has switched levels off, you'll see that instead of a rank.
Make your rank card yours
You can change these in Discord with /profile, or on the website under Customise your profile, which shows a live preview.
| You want to | Use |
|---|---|
| Add a short title under your name (up to 32 characters, no mentions or links) | /profile title |
| Pick a colour theme: Blossom, Ocean, Forest, Sunset or Orchid | /profile theme |
| See your badges and which are pinned | /profile badges |
| Show a badge on your card (up to 5, in the order you pin them) | /profile pin |
| Take a badge off your card | /profile unpin |
| Stay off public leaderboards | /profile leaderboard |
Your title and theme are the same in every server. Pinned badges are chosen per server. Without a theme of your own, your card uses the server's colour.
Some servers also show a leaderboard on the website. If you'd rather not be on it, run /profile leaderboard listed:false or tick Hide me from public leaderboards on your profile page. It applies to every server, and your XP and level still count.
You can also add a bio, pronouns, timezone and country to your profile with /level bio, /level pronouns, /level timezone and /level country.
Global ranks
Kaveh can rank members across every server where levels are counted, on the global ranks page. It's off until you switch on Take part in the global ranks on your profile page. Then your name, avatar and score are listed there.
The score is meant to be fair to small servers as well as big ones:
- Each server adds ten times the square root of your XP there, so one huge server can't dominate.
- Only your best five servers count.
- A server counts only if its levels are on, its admins haven't left it out, and at least ten members there are active.
If you asked to be hidden from public leaderboards, you aren't listed in the global ranks either. Switch it off any time and you're removed straight away.
Share your profile
You can make an optional public page that anyone with the link can open. It's off until you switch it on, in Public page on your profile page at /me. It shows your name, avatar, title and, for the servers you pick, your level, rank and pinned badges. A server can only appear if its admins have switched on the public leaderboard.
- The link is random, not your Discord ID, and the page is kept out of search engines.
- You choose which servers appear, and can make a new link (the old one stops working) or delete the page. Deleting it forgets the link and your choices.
- Anyone who has the link can see the page, so share it with care.
Daily streaks
A streak counts the days in a row (UTC) on which you earned XP in a server, from chatting or from voice. Miss a whole day and it starts again. Your current streak and best streak show on your page at /me, and some badges are earned for long streaks.
Badges
Badges are small awards from the server. Many are earned automatically, for example for reaching a level, sending messages, spending time in voice, boosting or being in the server for a year. Some are given by staff. See what a server offers with /badge list, and yours with /badge show.
Thank someone
/level rep lets you give someone reputation as a thank-you, once per cooldown. Servers set how long the cooldown is.
Your data
Your title, theme, badges and progress are part of your data. See it, export it or erase it with /privacy. The Privacy Policy lists what is stored and for how long.
